Both the air switch buttons feature drain holes and rubber gaskets, effectively preventing water from entering the air tube and buttons. The installation process is straightforward, with the buttons and accessories to be installed directly into the standard sink hole. The button mounting portion has a length of 2.68 inches, and the installation order is as follows: Button -- Rubber Gasket -- Sink Top/Counter Top -- Rubber Gasket -- Metal Gasket -- Screw Nut. Ensure a tight seal by tightening the plastic nut.
For a successful installation, it is recommended to drill a hole with a diameter of not less than 1-3/8 inches, and the countertop or sink top should not be thicker than 2.50 inches.
The air switch kit installation process involves connecting the air tube through the nut and then attaching the nozzle of the air tube to the protrusion, pushing it in forward. The air switch button is then installed on the sink top, and the air tube is used to connect the air switch button and the power module. Finally, the power cord of the garbage disposal is connected to the power module, and the power cord of the air switch set is connected to the wall socket.
Gently pressing the air switch button will start the garbage disposal, and pressing it again will turn it off.
The air switch adapter set is compatible with various food waste disposers, including GE, Waste King, InSinkErator, Whirlpool, KitchenAid, Moen, and Waste Maid, as well as dishwashers.
The air switch kit features a button cover made of solid brass, and there is a drainage hole on the side of the air switch button, ensuring waterproofing and anti-leakage properties. The air-activated button can be easily installed on the sink top or countertop, with two gaskets providing a stable installation. Additionally, two pieces of 3M double-sided tape are included to allow for direct wall mounting of the air switch adapter.
The power adapter measures 5.43" x 2.83" x 1.81", with a 60.00"/1.5M air tube and a 40.00" power cable. The air-activated button has dimensions of 3.58" x 1.81", and the required countertop hole size is 1-3/8". The air switch kit is rated for up to 3HP and has UR certification.
